150 Years Celebration
Over the weekend of 29 October 2009 and 3 November 2009 a very large number of people took part in the big 150 Years celebrations in Dimboola. They were celebrating 150 years since the first store opened in Dimboola, 150 years since Ebenezer Mission Station was established and 130 years since the Dimboola Banner began publishing. Local people from far and wide were involved in organising activities and events as well as attending a many of those activities. A large number of people from across Victoria, Australia and even a few from overseas attended the activities.
You can see the variety of activities and the huge amount of events that were available by clicking on the links below. Sorry if you missed out this time. Perhaps there will be something else in the near future you can attend in the town.
Events over the five days included an opening ceremony and welcome to country, street parade, special performances of the Dimboola play, historical and art exhibitions, supper dance, concerts, open days, reunions, sporting events, family activities and the opening of the Banner Print and Letterpress museum.
